Reddick and Davis, possibly out for season

According to head coach, Randy Shannon, junior safety, Anthony Reddick and senior linebacker, Romeo Davis may be out for the season due to knee injuries.

"Right now, they're both going to be out," Shannon said. "But like I said, the body may heal faster."

In April, Reddick had reconstructive knee surgery after tearing his anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.
Davis, who missed last season with a torn right knee ACL, has started 13 games in three seasons.

Shannon does not know whether or not quarterback, Robert Marve and receiver, Jermaine McKenzie, who were injured in a car accident last week, will also miss the season.

Marve Injured in Car Crash

Freshman quarterback, Robert Marve, injured his left hand on Monday in a car crash on I-75 near Naples. The car was driven by freshman receiver, Jermaine McKenzie. Also in the car was sophomore linebacker, Colin McCarthy.

McKenzie and McCarthy did not recieve any injuries during the crash. Marve sustained lacerations on his left hand and wrist, in addition to dislocating his left ring finer. Marve was at Naples Community Hospital on Monday, having surgery on his hand.

''They cleaned out the finger and made repair work. The surgery went fine," said Robert Weiner, who was Marve's coach at Tampa Plant High School.

Weiner said Marve won't play football ''for at least a month,'' and probably won't be ready until October.
