The 12th ranked Miami Hurricanes will be playing against Maryland on Thursday, in the opening round of the ACC Tournament. This year the tournament will be held in Tampa. The Canes basketball team has not been strong, hence being seeded 12th (last in the ACC).
Maryland, which is ranked 25th, lost to the Canes earlier in the season, 63-58. The Canes hope to do this same in the first round of the tournament.
The winner of the game will advance to the quarterfinals, which will be on Friday afternoon against Boston College, which received a first round bye.
