First Step to Football Season

That's right, it's that time of year again, football season is fast approaching. Spring practices for the Miami Hurricanes football team have begun. On Tuesday, head coach Randy Shannon started his first day under the helm. The first spring practice was held at Greenfield Practice Fields.

According to Hurricanesports, "It was the first day, but players weren't in pads. There was a lot of enthusiasm and we wanted to get the timing right. That's what we worked on today," said Shannon. "The energy level was great. Guys flew around. Nobody walked from drill to drill. I wanted guys to understand what we're trying to get done. The (assistant) coaches have done a good job of that."

Shannon said that the team needs team chemistry to be successful this season. They all need to come together as one, instead of an individual.

The practice sessions are closed to the public, except for the scrimmages which will be held on March 23, 30 and April 7.
