Last Thursday the Lady Canes basketball season officially came to an end. They lost to Georgia Tech in the first round of the 2007 ACC Tournament.
According to Hurricanesports, "I have a team that has a ton of heart," said second-year head coach Katie Meier. "I can't be more proud of them. Renee has been everything to this team. I think a lot was accomplished this season in terms of attitude, in terms of excellence, in terms of not accepting anything less. We had some tough losses on our roster, but you never saw us feeling sorry for ourselves."
Renee Taylor, ACC's leading scorer, finished the game with 14 points, four rebounds, one steal and one assist, in her last game as a Hurricane.
The final score of the game was 66-52.
